Title of study: The Opportunities and Challenges Associated with Adopting Grazing Management Practices

Purpose of this research: In association with beef producers, agriculture groups and producer associations across Alberta and Saskatchewan, Land Stewardship Centre is collaborating with Dr. Xiaoli Fan from the University of Alberta to survey beef producers about their grazing management practices.

What to expect from this study: The survey will take approximately 25 minutes to complete. Your participation is completely voluntary, and you can withdraw from the survey anytime. After you complete the survey, if you provide us with your contact information, you will qualify for a draw for one of ten $100 gift cards. You will have approximately a 1 in 10 chance of winning the $100 gift card. Your contact information will only be used to determine the winners of the gift cards and will not be used for any other purposes. Once the gift cards are successfully delivered to the winners, your contact information will be deleted. Any personal information is collected under the authority of and is subject to the privacy provisions of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act.

What are the risks and benefits to me? There are no known risks to participation. While there may not be any direct benefit to you, results from this study will help researchers understand the factors that influence producers' adoption of various grazing management practices. The findings of the study will be made accessible to farmers, ranchers, producer associations, extension personnel, researchers and policymakers to assist them in making well-informed decisions.
